By using molecular biology and biotechnology tools, we explore drug-loaded bacteria or cells that can target to a given disease with the help of their unique biological characteristics and targeting capacity to achieve safe and efficient drug delivery.
Bio-inspired approaches for the bio-preparation of smart materials
We engineer biomembranes with a selected function by genetic engineering technology and then use these membranes to decorate the surface or interface of biomaterials which can be further used as carriers for drug delivery and scaffold for tissue engineering due to the excellent biocompatibility.
